Share Adventures
Explorers Club Atlanta is an opportunity to learn about and share adventures as well as to keep up to date in the latest explorations in science, medicine, and adventure. Below are our upcoming meetings. All are welcome. Some events have charges associated with them.
Cocktails and Conversation
July 15, 2022, 5-7pm
This is a casual evening for us to simply socialize and get to know each other better. Please join us at Manuel's Tavern on July 15, 2022 from 5-7pm.
Evening with the Explorer's Club
September 16, 2022, 6:30pm
We will have our next EC dinner and presentation at Manuel’s Tavern on 16 September (602 N. Highland Ave, Atlanta, 30307; see https://manuelstavern.com/).We will have drinks at 6:30, the meal at 7:00, and follow that with a presentation by Dr. Cassandra Quave from Emory University (see https://etnobotanica.us/). Cassie is a member of our club, and her recently published book "The Plant Hunter: A Scientist’s Quest for Nature’s Next Medicine’s" was listed as one of the best books of the year by Kirkus Reviews. Copies of “The Plant Hunter” will be available for sale and signing at the event before dinner
